History

The idle Heat Pipe research facility was converted into a productive and sustainable facility through publications, projects, Consultancy, and patents.

Dr. Brusly is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), Coimbatore. He received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the same Institute in 2014. Then pursued his Postdoctoral research in the Thermo fluids Research Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, University of Pretoria, South Africa. 

His research focused on developing phase change cooling devices such as heat pipes, thermosyphons, and vapour chambers for cooling applications.

He is the recipient of the Govt. of India Young Scientist Award in 2015 by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, India, the Young Achievers Award in the same year by the Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, India and the UP postdoctoral fellowship in 2015 by the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

His research interests include Phase change heat transfer, electronic cooling with heat pipes, natural convection heat transfer, and Magnetic nanofluids.
